"I started lifting for sports in high school thanks to one coach who pushed me to workout with all the guys morning program (430am in high school is EARLY). Everyone was treated the same. Even if you couldn’t lift the same amount, you would do the same plyometric training. If it wasn’t for this push, I wouldn’t have found that hunger for physical growth and competition with myself in the gym. I have prepared for pregnancies and its afterthoughts, refined how I use and move my body in daily activities, as well as developed a deeper respect for how powerful, awe-inspiring and enduring the human body truly is."

Erik, better known simply as Garcia, is one of our personal trainers. His caring, genuine personalty shines as he coaches and guides people through their weight-loss journey. Personally, he has gone through a major life/image transformation int he recent past so he can relate to those just starting their journey as well as seasoned athletes. Garcia has played competitive sports his entire life. Before ca career ending injury, he was a professional dancer and coached cheer and stunt teams. He also holds advanced belts in Tae Kwon Do. He will be able to help you with your personal journey with experience, laughter and a fresh prospective.
"The thing that makes me a better trainer is that I’ve been on both sides of the journey. I started out as an athlete and know how my body should respond. But, I’ve also had to start over, basically at zero and work my way back to being an athlete. I’ve had both the fear of failure and the fear of success and learned how to push past those fears to realize my body potential. My strong Christian faith makes me compassionate and caring, while knowing how to push so that we have a healthy body. As each of us discover what we’re called to do, we are better able to complete our “work” if we have the physical ability to do so. For those who are not believers, I can offer the same compassion and encouragement to help you become the best you that you can be for those who you love and love you."
